Grain free breakfast slices

I struggle with breakfast sometimes! Carbohydrates just make me feel bloated and heavy in the mornings. This grain free slice is so easy to make and suits a paleo or keto lifestyle, high in protein full of nuts and seeds and low in carbohydrate.

Serves 6

Preparation time 10 minutes

Cooking time 30-45min


Ingredients:

1/2 cup pecans

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup walnuts

1/2 cup cashews

1/2 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup sunflower or pumpkin seeds

1/4 oil

3 large eggs

I tablespoon local honey

1/3 teaspoon salt

5 tablespoons organic coconut flour


Combine all ingredients in a bowl

Pour mixture in loaf tin and bake at 150 ℃ for around 30 minutes


This is a great "bread loaf" or slice for breakfast, heat up and enjoy with some lashes of good quality organic butter or coconut oil!

Paleo or keto diet doesn't have to be boring however cooking keto or paleo doesn't have to be hard or pretentious either. I aim to keep my recipes simple and uncomplicated. This helps if you haven't got all ingredients at hand or your lifestyle is just far too busy!
